Ms. Werts is a Project Policy Analyst for the Department of Preventive and Restorative Dental Sciences at the UCSF School of Dentistry and Healthforce Center. Ms. Werts’ undergraduate academic career at the University of California, Berkeley—where she received a Bachelor’s degree in both Molecular and Cell Biology and Public Health—led her to pursue research addressing health inequities. As an analyst, she utilizes mixed methods to conduct research investigating healthcare workforce issues, scope of practice, access to care, and health disparities.
