Sage Shirey is a Research Associate primarily specializing in qualitative research. His main research interests include issues related to the recruitment and retention of health care workers. Mr. Shirey assists with literature reviews, research reports, journal manuscripts, and website content. Prior to his current position, he worked as an applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy assistant, working with children on the autism spectrum.

Mr. Shirey holds an MA in Sociology from the University at Albany SUNY and a BA in Sociology from the College of Wooster (OH). His sociological background offers a unique and wholistic perspective to issues of the health workforce.
