Perspectives of Women of Childbearing Age About Their Oral Health Status and Access Barriers

This study evaluated the utilization of oral health services and oral health status among women of childbearing age, identified critical barriers to obtaining care, and assessed associations between poor maternal oral health status and adverse pregnancy outcomes. Researchers analyzed data from the AAMC’s biannual 2022-2023 Consumer Survey of Health Access and 2016-2022 Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System.
