This study will examine the health workforce factors related to oral health service utilization among adult Medicaid beneficiaries in California and New York, 2014-2021. Researchers aim to assess and compare Medicaid participation and provision of services by dentists and registered dental hygienists in alternate practice pre- and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Researchers will use Medicaid dental claims data.
