Dental Education Practices During COVID-19: A Scoping Review

Published in the Journal of Dental Education, this scoping review explores a large body of research over a longer period to understand approaches taken to provide dental education during COVID-19, and to suggest future applications of virtual learning in dental education. Researchers identified several advantages to online dental education including improved accessibility, willingness to accept new assessment techniques, and lower anxiety levels. Barriers identified include issues with technology, classroom time management, and absence of hands-on training.
